The fifth grade team of Norwood View Elementary would like to nominate Blakely Murphy as our Rising Star for the month of December. Blakely is a ray of sunshine! She has an infectious smile and a positive attitude. She gives her best effort in everything that she does and is always willing to try new and challenging things. Blakely is a good friend to those around her. She is independent and will lend a hand to anyone who needs help.

Summer Underwood is the Rising Star for the 2nd grade at Norwood View. Summer sets a great example for the other students to follow. She is hardworking and conscientious.

On Friday, November 8th, Norwood View held its annual Veteran’s Day Celebration. This year, we honored more than 25 veterans from Norwood and surrounding communities. Staff Sergeant Tim Miracle from the US Marine Corps served as our honorary veteran speaker and delivered a memorable message. Students and staff come together annually to plan this beloved event and many of our veterans in attendance are family and friends of our school community.
